What is the best time for training?

What is the best time of day to do sports? This question is asked by many people who want to increase the effectiveness of their training. But it all depends on your routine and work schedule. If you enjoy sports, you can always find time for it.

We should note that there are no reliable research results indicating the most favorable time for sports. More often experts refer to internal biorhythms in this matter, following which should be decisive when choosing a time. They conditionally divide all people into “larks” and “owls” and, depending on what hours a person feels a surge of vigor, determine what time of day it is better to do sports. So, for some people a morning run is a charge of energy for the whole day and for others it is a real test.

One way or another, you need to experiment and focus, first of all, on your own well-being. And the best thing is to consult with a doctor or a trainer. Here you will need to take into account your state of health, the presence / absence of excess weight, the nature of nutrition and much more. At the same time regularity and exact monitoring of the time allotted for training is really very important. After getting used to a stable schedule of sessions, the body will be ready for exercise at the appointed hours itself.

So here are some tips from us how to choose the optimal amount of time for training, depending on your work schedule and other features. So, what is the best time to exercise for you?

If you wake up early and go to bed no later than 12 o’clock at night, the morning is an ideal time for sports training.

People most often do sports in the morning, if they:

– return home from work late and do not have the energy to train;

– suffer from insomnia, because activities before bedtime will aggravate the problem;

– feel weak constantly when waking up, so physical exercises will help fill the body with energy and wake up faster.

Larks never miss their training, as they are more responsible about time and their duties. These are people who have everything planned out, and if you belong to this category, it is the best for you to exercise in the morning.

The body temperature is lowered slightly and breathing is slowed down from 6 to 9 o’clock in the morning. So experts do not advise to engage in active sports, especially for beginners. Yoga, swimming or sports walking are the best for morning workouts.

People who do not have the opportunity to train in the morning, but have enough free time during the lunch break, can choose this period of the day for training.

The afternoon session is suitable for those who:

– forced to spend most of the working day at the computer and can find time during the lunch break to let the body relax and let the eyes rest;

– wake up difficult in the morning, but do not have the strength to fully engage in sports in the evening.

However, you should remember that it is not possible to go to training immediately after eating, because the active process of its digestion takes place at this moment. And if you start performing physical exercises, the work of the gastrointestinal tract may be disturbed.

Optimal types of sports for daytime: work with weight on different muscle groups to develop strength and endurance; fitness, aerobics and other sessions for weight loss; game areas (tennis, basketball, football, etc.).

The evening time is one of the most convenient for people who are busy at work from early morning and all day. Leaving all the problems behind, you can relieve stress and have a great time in the gym, stadium or sports field in the evening. The most suitable time for intensive sessions is the period from 5 to 8 p.m., when the body is fully ready for exertion, despite daytime fatigue.

Optimal types of sports for the second half of the day: dance directions; fitness; swimming and water aerobics; strength training.

If you manage to get to the fitness club no earlier than 8 p.m., it is the best to choose the following types of classes: flexibility development; breathing exercises; yoga. Such training will prevent the body from getting tired at the end of the day, will help to relax, regain strength and prepare for a healthy sleep.

So, we come to the conclusion that the ideal option would be light morning and active evening training. Everything will depend on your work schedule and daily routine here. The main thing is that sports bring you joy.
